A dozen Survivors of fallen service members expressed their love for their departed warriors Feb. 12 during an event hosted by the Survivor Outreach Services branch of the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command.

The 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) hosted Operation Love Letters (OLL) here at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2093, Feb. 14, 2015. The OLL is an annual patriotic celebration to honor Fallen Soldiers that began in Orlando, FL in February 2013. The mission of OLL is to commemorate America’s fallen military personnel’s commitment to our nation by paying tribute to them and demonstrating our love for them via fellowship with family and friends who gather together to write love letters, script poetry, do a symbolic balloon release, create greeting cards, and to share lovable nuggets and stories about their deceased service member.
