Comfort Zone Camp

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. The free camps include confidence building programs and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Comfort Zone Camps are offered to children 7-17, and are held year-round across the Country. We have offices in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia. Web Site

Cornerstone of Hope: Camp Cornerstone, Camp Heroes, Camp Erin

Cornerstone of Hope offers 3 summer bereavement camps are for grieving children and teens who are looking to meet others who have experienced a similar loss. During the camps they will participate in age appropriate grief activities led by professionals and also have the chance to go on field trips, play fun high-energy games and experience challenging activities. All camps are free of charge! Cornerstone of Hope provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks at our day camps. Camp Kangaroo

Here, children can journey through griefóand embrace lifeóin a safe and supportive atmosphere. With dedicated bereavement professionals and volunteers on hand, children learn about grief and experience healthy outlets for expressing their feelings. The camp staff provides education to dispel myths and misunderstandings children often have about death. Campers are provided peer support by connecting with others in their age group on the same journey. Through their camp experiences, children can honor their loved one and begin to move forward through their grief. Camp Frederick: Grief Camp

Good Grief is designed for youth ages 8-15 that have experienced the loss of a loved one and is provided at no cost to the youth or their families. 2013 Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Innovative Program award winner, the program seeks to integrate therapeutic activities with the fun and challenges of the camp experience.
