Army Reserve Family Programs
Army Reserve Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program YRRP

The Secretary of Defense initiated the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program which provides information, services, referral, and proactive outreach programs to Soldiers of the Army Reserve and their Families through all phases of the deployment cycle.

The goal of the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program is to prepare Soldiers and Families for mobilization, sustain Families during mobilization, and reintegrate Soldiers with their Families, communities, and employers upon redeployment or REFRAD.

The program includes information on current benefits and resources available to help overcome the challenges of reintegration.  The 30, 60, and 90-day post-deployment or REFRAD requirements are for reintegration purposes only and are performed in Annual Training (AT) status for Soldiers.  Family members are authorized to travel on Invitational Travel Orders (ITOs).

The Web site, www.afterdeployment.org (AD), is the Department of Defense response to a congressional mandate to develop a behavioral health Web portal focused on post-deployment problems. Col. Greg Gahm, a psychologist, and other leadership in DoD and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), joined hands in delivering this online health tool to those affected by the war.
Geographically Dispersed Task Force
The Geographically Dispersed Task Force from the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Office is very interested in your access to services and benefits and the potential gaps that may exist between the ones you receive vs. services and benefits available to Soldiers and Families that live on or around a Military Installation.
They are aware that policy changes made in the past involved little or no input from the field, and they are asking for input directly from Soldiers and their Families.  If you are willing to participate in their confidential survey, here is the link:  www.GDTFSurvey.org
