The Army Reserve Family Programs recently certified 25 members of it's staff to train Soldiers and Families (Including Teens), within the Army Reserve. The objective of the Family Programs is to provide the tools that will enable family members to communicate about their problems and resolve them successfully, using Franklin Covey's "7-Habits of Highly Effective Families."
It's no secret that many Army families need additional information and strategies to maintain day-to-day functioning during periods of military separation. Army Soldiers and their families face unique obstacles and challenges. Among the normal issues faced by Army families is the added stress of relocations, unpredictable mobilizations and reintegration into family routines, employment, and other community activities after mobilization.
The plans to deliver this training are still being developed, however, once finalized the information will be provided. "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Army Families" provides a much needed framework created to supply Army families with problem-solving and communication skills to create a supportive and successful Army family.
